Pay Rubric

Pagar Rúbrica

To promote equity and provide a path for growth at our schools, we follow a pay rubric. The rubric uses the employee's role at Apple Playschools, professional experience, and education background to determine a level and starting pay rate. After that rate is determined and an employee is hired, employees are able to earn raises through advancing their skills and studies, applying for a promotion, tenure on the Apple Playschools team, or through organization-wide cost of living adjustments.

La rúbrica utiliza el rol del empleado en Apple Playschools, la experiencia profesional y los antecedentes educativos para determinar un nivel y una tasa de pago inicial. Una vez que se determina esa tarifa y se contrata a un empleado, los empleados pueden ganar aumentos mediante el avance de sus habilidades y estudios, la solicitud de un ascenso, la permanencia en el equipo de Apple Playschools o mediante ajustes por costo de vida en toda la organización.

*Substitute teachers work as-needed. Because Substitutes are not eligible for benefits and are not guaranteed hours, they are paid a flat hourly rate.
**Because our team at Manzanitas Spanish Immersion Playschool is double the size of our other schools, the higher end of this range represents the pay rate for a Program Director at Manzanitas.

*Los maestros suplentes trabajan según sea necesario. Debido a que los sustitutos no son elegibles para los beneficios y no se les garantizan las horas, se les paga una tarifa fija por hora.

Debido a que nuestro equipo en Manzanitas Spanish Immersion Playschool es el doble del tamaño de nuestras otras escuelas, el extremo más alto de este rango representa la tarifa de pago para un Director de programa en Manzanitas.​

Benefits

  • Accrued paid time off starting at 8 days per year. Paid Time Off may not be taken during mandatory in-service or the first 3 weeks of September, January and May.
  • 7 paid holidays (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day), paid at a rate that is equal to the average hours worked in a day.
  • Paid scheduled closures (~7 days at winter break, ~5 days at spring break, ~2 days at fall break) granted after the completion of the 90-day probationary period.
  • If qualified for the Affordable Health Care Stipend, the stipend will be up to $150 per month to be paid over 12 months. 
  • Approximately 50% tuition reduction through the Apple Playschools Child Care Benefit (Child Care provided through Apple Playschools). 
  • Approximately 7 paid in-service days annually.
  • Employee assistance program offering short-term loans, mental health support, legal assistance, etc.
  • Paid family and bereavement leave.***
  • Retirement matching. ***
  • Flexible schedule with approval of program director and executive director.
  • TEACH Scholarship for qualifying students.
***For staff working 30 hours or more.

Central Administrative Staff

Beneficios

  • Tiempo libre pagado acumulado a partir de 8 días por año. El tiempo libre pagado no se puede tomar durante el servicio obligatorio o las primeras 3 semanas de septiembre, enero y mayo.

Personal Administrativo Central

Central Administrative Staff are paid at competitive rates in the local nonprofit sector, and pay rate per position varies. They are eligible for the same benefits listed above. Our Executive Director currently makes $70,000 annually and receives the same benefits as other full-time staff members.
El personal administrativo central recibe un salario competitivo en el sector local sin fines de lucro y el salario por puesto varía. Son elegibles para los mismos beneficios enumerados anteriormente. Nuestra Directora Ejecutiva actualmente gana $70,000 al año y recibe los mismos beneficios que otros miembros del personal a tiempo completo.
